They simply invite us to stand still long enough to notice them.
Where the Tide Breathes was inspired by the quiet rhythm of the coastline, where changing skies, moving tides and grounded land exist in constant relationship with one another.
Although the sky dominates the composition, the land became the heart of the painting. It anchors the scene beneath the changing weather, creating a balance between movement and steadiness that reflects my experience of being there.
Part of the Held by the Tide collection, this painting celebrates the restorative nature of coastal landscapes and the quiet reassurance found in places that continue their timeless rhythm regardless of the passing weather.
The Process
