Created from my original painting The Still Tide, this hardback journal features a seascape where mist softens the horizon and the sea and sky begin to merge, with small lines of white catching the light across the darker water.
I've always enjoyed watching the sea as the weather changes, particularly when the mist begins to settle and the horizon becomes less distinct. Even when the water appears relatively still, there is movement beneath the surface, and the longer I look, the more I begin to notice the subtle changes in light and the shapes forming across the sea.
For this Mist version, I've extended the lighter colours of the painting across the journal cover, using a pale blue-grey background above the darker water. The contrast allows the seascape to remain recognisable, while giving the journal a softer appearance than the Midnight version.
