The Still Tide – Midnight Art Cushion 

Created from my original painting The Still Tide, this cushion takes its inspiration from the changing appearance of the sea, where the mist softens the horizon and the movement of the water is picked out by small areas of light.

For this design, I've used a deep navy background with a section of the painting extending across the cushion. The softer greys of the mist and the darker blues of the water sit together, with the lighter details across the sea giving the image contrast.

I've always found it interesting how the sea can look so different depending on the weather. Even when the water appears relatively still from a distance, there is usually movement to be found when you look more closely.

Part of my Held by the Tide – Homeware collection, this cushion offers another way to enjoy The Still Tide beyond the original painting.
