The Black Art Tote Bag

Created from my original painting The Black, this canvas tote bag features a black stallion emerging from the darkness, with the light catching his face, mane and muscular form.

I've always been fascinated by horses and the combination of strength and gentleness they possess. They are powerful animals, yet there can be something remarkably soft about their expression, particularly around their eyes. I wanted to explore that contrast in this painting, allowing the stallion to remain strong and independent while showing something of his quieter nature.

For this tote bag, I've kept the original artwork within its frame against the black fabric. The surrounding darkness allows the lighter details to stand out, particularly around his face and the movement of his mane, without taking attention away from the painting itself.

Part of my From the Shadows collection, this tote bag is another way to enjoy the artwork beyond the original painting.
