Quietly Sheltered Art Tote Bag | Jennifer F

Quietly Sheltered Art Tote Bag

Created from my original painting Quietly Sheltered, this canvas tote bag features a landscape with a lake stretching between the surrounding land, with grasses, distant trees and a wide sky above.

I've always enjoyed landscapes where there is plenty of space to look around, but where you can also imagine finding somewhere comfortable to sit and spend a little time. The longer I look at places like this, the more I begin to notice. The grasses moving, the trees in the distance, the changing appearance of the water and all the smaller details that are easy to miss when you first arrive.

For this tote bag, I've used a narrow section of the painting across the lower front, allowing the blue-grey fabric above it to continue the colours of the sky. The plain reverse keeps the design simple, while the darker landscape provides a gentle contrast.

Part of my Quiet Presence collection, this tote bag is another way to enjoy the artwork beyond the original painting.
