Beneath the Light Art Tote Bag

Created from my original painting Beneath the Light, this canvas tote bag features a dramatic coastal scene, with shifting clouds above a dark sea and lighter blue water moving towards the shore.

I've always been fascinated by the way light changes a landscape, particularly when the weather is unsettled. The clouds can be heavy and dark, yet there are often lighter areas appearing between them, catching the movement of the water below. It is that contrast between the darkness and the changing light that draws me to scenes like this.

For the tote bag design, I've used a deep charcoal-blue background between the sky and sea, allowing the two parts of the painting to remain distinct. The lighter clouds and blue water stand out against the darker fabric, while the original artwork remains at the centre of the design.

Part of my From the Shadows collection, this tote bag offers another way to enjoy the artwork beyond the original painting.
