About the Artwork

Where Land Meets Memory was inspired by Man O’War Bay on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Rather than recreating the coastline exactly, I allowed the cliffs, sea and changing light to develop from what I remembered of the landscape.

The result sits somewhere between a real place and the way that place can gradually settle within our memory.
