A little bit about Jennifer

Jennifer F is a self taught artist residing in the UK. Her passion for art and creativity have been a constant throughout her life. Starting, in late 2019, with acrylics she began with seascapes. Now in 2024 with oils. Her love of clouds and the expanse of the ocean are one of her favourite images to replicate. Her seascapes offer a place to 'just be' in our busy lives. The simplicity of the expanse of the sea and sky, provide an opportunity of reflection and self healing. Her artwork depicting animals captures the beauty of their grace and freedom. Their eyes a chance to convey innocence and the non trappings of modern life.

Jennifer is passionate about continuous learning and believes that we can all pursue and fulfill our ambitions and dreams.

I love the iridescent colours of the Indian peacock and wanted to emulate their natural shimmering beauty. To convey the regal elegance of this bird, I chose a close up portrait style with a dark blank background. I used metallic acrylic paint to achieve the shimmer on the peacock's neck, As you view the painting from different angles, the light picks up on the differing shades of emerald green, royal blue and gold flecks. This will suit many differing decors making a beautiful feature. The diverse colours found within the peacock can easily be used to coordinate accessories for the chosen room. Ideal for living room, bedroom or any room of your choice.
