I love the iridescent colours of the Indian peacock and wanted to emulate their natural shimmering beauty. To convey the regal elegance of this bird, I chose a close up portrait style with a dark blank background. 

I used metallic acrylic paint to achieve the shimmer on the peacock's neck, As you view the painting from different angles, the light picks up on the differing shades of emerald green, royal blue and gold flecks.

This will suit many differing decors making a beautiful feature. The diverse colours found within the peacock can easily be used to coordinate accessories for your chosen room. Ideal for living room, bedroom or any room of your choice.
